Hill is always on the hunt for programming that will make BET stand out. He recently secured deals with John Singleton for a new show called “Rebel” and is working on “Madiba” the first portrayal of Nelson Mandela by a black director. Hill is passionate about music, having gotten his start working with the legendary Elroy Smith, who was program director at WILD-AM in Boston. Hill also loves to attend concerts and discover new acts to introduce to the BET audience. Not surprisingly, his favorite charity with which he works has a musical tone—LifeBeat: The Music Industry Fights AIDS.
