Where are the biggest growth areas for women in cable?
I believe the biggest innovation growth areas for women in cable are software coding, big data analytics and the Internet of Things. Everything is becoming software programmable in the delivery of cable services and products. We will continue to leverage machine and customer experience data with smart analytics that will help us to provide the insights for opportunities to serve our customers better. As the edge of our networks extend into our smart homes and wearables connecting to the internet, we can expect to see more IoT innovation and device growth.
What’s the most important aspect of mentoring?
The most important aspect of mentoring is the bilateral commitment between the mentor and mentee, based upon mutual trust and a commitment. The commitment of the mentor is to provide advice and help to the mentee in support of their goals. The commitment of the mentee is to be ready to listen to the advice and take the help and act upon it. The outcome of the mentor/mentee relationship is personal satisfaction and shared accomplishment.
