Viacom has amped up its hiring during the past year, seeking out executives with experience in a breadth of areas including engineering, digital and data science, engineering, and creative fields. Overseeing those hires, with a clear vision about the direction the company and its brands, is former BET president and CEO Mills, who stepped into his current role in May 2015. Mills continues to oversee the company’s worldwide human resources strategies and practices and leading Viacom’s administrative functions, including real estate and security.
