Prior to arriving at YouTube earlier this year, Broock spent two years cementing partnership deals for the virtual reality startup Jaunt in the role of VP of content. In that position he was the company’s liaison between content creators across Hollywood, TV, digital media and indie film. It’s early days for Broock at Google, but he’ll serve as an important part of the company’s first virtual reality division. In the past, Broock has produced TV campaigns, online series, viral videos and other multiplatform content for brands like Nickelodeon, ABC News, WIRED and others.
