This year Madigan was upped to her exec role in content distribution from SVP of business affairs, after securing broad distribution for the company’s nets and digital business on pay TV platforms and OTT platforms, too. The new role requires oversight of content sales and strategy for digital and linear distribution. She sees the most important story of the year as the trend toward improving the video consumption experience—on a variety of platforms. “It’s not as dramatic as a blackout or a dispute, but it’s the single most important thing that we as an industry must strive for,” she says.
