Ashendorf brings 20-plus years of media industry experience to her BBC position, after spending much of her career at MTV Networks. While it hasn’t always been easy, she says imagination is the only limitation when breaking into the cable industry. “Stay the course, seek out mentors, develop relationships, learn something every day and be fearless about asking questions,” she says. Today, Ashendorf spearheads BBC content distribution and drives carriage efforts in the U.S. including BBC America and BBC World News, and related VOD products.
