Rosalyn Durant
In her new role at ESPN, Durant sets the strategic direction for the network’s college-focused properties, guiding SEC Network through its crucial second year while keeping an eye to the ongoing development of the maturing Longhorn Network and ESPNU. Beyond her many contributions at ESPN, Durant serves on the Board of Directors of the T. Howard Foundation, which is dedicated to increasing diversity in the multimedia and entertainment industries. She is, in fact, an alumna of the Foundation’s internship program. “Never let fear of failure stop you from trying,” she says.
What’s your biggest professional accomplishment in the past 12 months?
Being promoted into my current role, overseeing ESPN’s college networks.

How can cable better support diversity?
Ensure the faces in front of the cameras and behind the scenes reflect those of our current and future fans, and take steps to counter the unconscious biases that hinder progress.
