Martinez coordinated production teams and pooled resources from ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Brasil, and ESPN Latin America to bring viewers complete coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The networks even shared on-air talent. The result was recordbreaking ratings. Largely due to Martinez’s efforts, Nación ESPN and SportsCenter each took home a Sports Emmy earlier this year, a first for any Spanish-language cable sports network. Right now Martinez is preparing to launch the new ESPN studios in Mexico City in 2015.
