Few executives are as well known and lauded as Ramlall, whose reputation as a workhorse and expert multitasker are legendary. It’s no wonder then that tiny RCN has been able to compete so effectively against some of the largest MSOs and DBS providers. Ramlall wears a number of hats, including programming, public relations, investor relations and government affairs. Meanwhile, he’s the lead negotiator for all of RCN’s programming deals with mammoth media firms like Disney and Viacom, as well as increasingly aggressive and retrans-happy broadcasters. Ramlall also serves on numerous boards, including Evolving Systems, Gateway Communications Services, TelecomHUB, and the Alzheimers Association’s National Capital Area Chapter.
