Bahl leads the digital media technology strategy for A+E Networks, including oversight of the development of websites. He develops A+E’s suite of direct-to-consumer subscription products including TV Everywhere apps (his History TV Everywhere app won a Webby), as well as other digital products and audience data platforms. Most recently he enabled the company to launch, test and learn from new subscription VOD offerings such as the Lifetime Movie Club and The History Vault. “We have to innovate faster to get our content noticed,” he says. “We have to innovate consumer experience across several platforms to deliver value to our subscribers. Lastly, we have to be open about testing new business models.”
