Rafael H. Fonseca

Rafael Fonseca brings significant experience in executive management, product marketing and management, sales, operations and engineering management of established and startup companies to his position as VP of MSO Technology and Solutions Engineering, for GENBAND Inc. In his current position at GENBAND, Rafael supports the MSO Market in identifying new opportunities and solutions in the areas of Unified Communications, End User Experience, and Converged Smart Networks.

Mr. Fonseca was part of the founding team at Cedar Point Communications where he was responsible for Product Marketing and Management, identifying market requirements, managing product evolution, and developing product positioning in support of sales, market and business development.

Mr. Fonseca held a variety of positions with Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies, including identifying and developing solutions for Portfolio Management in the areas of optical networking and switching, and Data Services for broadband interconnections via market data collection and analysis.

Mr. Fonseca holds B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and Mini-MBA from Wharton School of Business.
