Kollappallil oversees press strategy of TLC’s linear and multiplatform programming. She secured multiple cover stories and weekly magazine features for series across the network, helping to position TLC as a top 10 cable network for women. Next up is the re-launch of TLC’s “Toddlers and Tiaras.” On a personal level, she spent the last year overcoming breast cancer and continues to fight for women struggling with the disease. Her personal election campaign slogan would be, “Vote smarts over stupidity.”

Most recently, I was impressed with last season’s “Black-ish,” which not only features a talented and diverse cast but took on topical issues such as police brutality with humor and poignancy.

As a cancer survivor, my favorite charity is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, whose research grants have led to breakthroughs in treatments for many types of cancer.
