There’s a reason Charter is willing to put up $10.4 billion to purchase privately owned Bright House, a deal that would render the merged entity the second-largest cable operator in the country behind Comcast. Bergman and Miron have built and maintained an enviable empire, growing Bright House into Florida’s second-largest phone provider and aligning with other cable companies to advance customer support like WiFi hotspot availability around the country. A technology ground-breaker, the company was the first cable operator in the U.S. to be designated a Cisco Master Service Provider, and these two execs continue to push the envelope on digital offerings. All this—not to mention the 4 million homes the operator passes—make  Bright House a sweet package indeed.
