It’s no small feat to put on an awards show—and still make it interesting to audiences that have had their fill of them. But TV One passed the test with flying colors, giving us an awards event that both inspired and entertained, going beyond the usual to laud the worthy efforts undertaken to promote positive and uplifting images for people of color.
