It’s not often that a person’s job is a perfect fit for her personality – that’s why it’s been great to see Monica Neal’s rise through the Turner ranks. Her quest to find partnerships is perfect for her because there’s not a better partner in cable than Neal, who is one of the nicest and hardest-working execs in the business. Monica’s current charge, reaching out to underserved audiences for TNT, TBS and TCM, is one of the most important issues facing cable. It’s not surprising that Neal’s handling outreach for the new George Lopez late-night talk show on TBS considering that she brokered successful marketing deals for Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns (TBS) and Hawthorne (TNT), both of which became hits.
