The deals at Hulu just keep on coming with Hopkins at the helm. The former Fox distribution exec took over in 2013 and since then has made sure the company invests heavily in content. In the past year alone, it has acquired “Seinfeld,” “Empire,” “CSI” and “Fargo,” and reached exclusive output deals with AMC Networks and FX Productions. It launched an ad-free service to adapt to customer requests and is driving full-speed ahead in terms of originals: Recently it clinched its first Golden Globe nomination for the comedy original series “Casual,” and there’s a lot of big-name talent in the pipeline.
