Michelle Lochmus
Consumer Marketing Coordinator, Crown Media Family Networks
Lochmus is thriving in her marketing role for the company, having switched from an advertising sales position in 2015. One of her shining moments was her contribution to Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas” campaign. She played a key role in coordinating and managing, from start to finish, the Christmas tree maze installation in New York City that broke the Guinness World Record for the largest display of illuminated Christmas trees—they had 559. Open communication is vital to her workplace culture. “Having a space to freely express your ideas and opinions without judgment is not only encouraging and motivating, but it also allows for a creative and focused atmosphere,” she said.
What misconception or stereotype of your generation drives you the craziest?
The idea that the Internet and social media are damaging our generation’s intellect. We should celebrate the fact that we have more information at our fingertips now more than ever. It allows us to swiftly evaluate all sides of any issue and gives the ability for open discourse. Plus, who doesn’t love a hilarious cat video?
