With Centric’s rebrand to focus on African American females, Thornton and her team are working hard to grow the revenue base. In fact, she has brought top line sponsors on board, including Cover Girl and Prudential. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Boys Hope Girls Hope, Ghetto Film School and ADCOLOR, and is the past chair of the American Advertising Federation Mosaic Council. She’s also evidence that success doesn’t require a traditional career path, having not graduated from college until the age of 30.
