In the last year, he focused on combining organic growth with the adoption of new technologies and significant acquisitions to achieve international scale and consumer connectivity. The company sealed a $5.3 billion deal to acquire Cable & Wireless Communications, which added scale to its operations in Latin America and the Caribbean, and, in a strategic content play, agreed to purchase a stake in Lionsgate.
