Powell has been a steady hand, leading one of the largest trade associations in DC representing the communications and content industries. He’s been hard at work making sure NCTA adapts to the changing media landscape. Those efforts included hosting a DC conference in April dubbed “Near Future,” which examined the monumental changes coming soon through tech and broadband. Powell, a former FCC chairman, also is busy navigating a new FCC and White House as net neutrality comes to the forefront yet again. At NCTC and ACA’s Independent Show in July, he called the climate inside the Beltway “chaotic”—with things changing hourly. In other words, he’s on his toes at all times!
