Her has steered the NeuLion development team through key strategic launches of new services like World Surf League and Univision NOW. And under his leadership the tech team completed updates and UX enhancements to services like UFC Fight Pass and NBA League Pass. Her believes that in three years it will all be about mobile. “Users will more and more cast video to larger screens when they want to have a 10-foot experience, or choose to move content from one screen to another freely and consume it wherever they want.”

What does the multiscreen experience look like in 3 years?

I feel that mobile is going to be at the center.  Users will more and more cast video to larger screens when they want to have a 10-foot experience, or choose to move content from one screen to another freely and consume it wherever they want.  And with gains in video quality – quickly surpassing even 4K – new interactive features like choosing from multiple angles and super slow motion playback at 60 frames/second will enhance the experience and increase user engagement.

How do you keep yourself and your team engaged and informed on the changing multiscreen universe?

This space is always moving fast and we have to monitor all new developments in the industry.  We have close relationships with other technology partners – whether it’s a connected device manufacturer, software developer, or platform provider – and then use that knowledge to build deep partnerships with our clients.  We bring this knowledge and innovation to our clients to engage in new products that keep THEM on the cutting edge and grow their business.

To what degree will measurement factor into multiscreen monetization in 2016?

Measurement is a necessity for analyzing behavior, pivoting quickly, and getting the right experiences and offers to users.  With our products, we are able to correlate data across all devices to identify purchasing decisions, access patterns, and overall usage.  This allows us to enable robust personalization within the applications, increase monetization with dynamic advertising, and even present customized promotions and package offers based on a user’s behavior.
