Matt Schnaars plays an integral role in helping to shape NBCU’s overall distribution strategy, and his work in 2015 led to hundreds of contract renewals including one distribution deal that covered 6 million homes for NBC, Telemundo and all 14 of NBCU’s cable nets. And he also helped lead negotiations with a top-3 distributor for five NBCUniversal national cable networks and several regional networks covering millions more subs. Overall, Schnaars oversees accounts covering 40 million subs of major distributors like DirecTV-AT&T, Verizon, NCTC, Mediacom and Cable One. As Schnaars’ star continues to rise at NBCU under the watchful eye of his boss Mac Budill, pres, network distribution, we expect more great things from this ambitious exec in the future.
