Smalls brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the public and private sectors to her dual roles. For Viacom, she works with leadership across Viacom’s brand portfolio to champion multiculturalism, inclusiveness and diversity worldwide. Her role includes the development of the next generation of leaders at Viacom and the expansion of the company’s strategic partnerships with outside organizations. At Nickelodeon, she works closely with the president and COO in directing financial resources, personnel and facilities for their New York and West Coast offices. She started the Marva Smalls Endowment to support programs that provide opportunities to youth and families and this year was elected president of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City board.
