Earlier this year Burrows began her new job in Wichita with great anticipation. Not only does it bring her closer to the town where she was brought up, but the large, geographically complex system provides an exciting challenge. Previously, she was GM of the Cox system in Las Vegas, which has about 420,000 customers. The Central region consists of about 700,000. Quite a contrast, but the capable Burrows is more than up to the task. She previously worked for the former US West and Northwestern Bell telephone companies, and was a co-founder of a hybrid investment/operating company.

FCC Getting New Round of Broadcast Ownership Input

Reply comments are due today at the FCC on its quadrennial review of broadcast ownership rules. That means it’ll probably be Monday before the FCC posts them all, and while many comments are likely to restate entrenched positions, a few new threads may still emerge.
