Maria Popo
Popo’s focus in expanding Ubee’s presence into South America is only one component of the company’s success. Under her leadership, Ubee far exceeded its 2014 revenue goals, and in 2015 became the first vendor in CableLabs 3.1 Interop. A natural-born mentor, Popo’s integrity and eagerness to keep learning inspires those around her. “Ask the right questions,” she advises. “People are caught up in their lives, their purpose, trying to find the right path. A mentor should help them take a step back to consider all available choices and aspects.”

Your favorite trick for unwinding?
I grew up on the Jersey Shore & visit when possible. In September, I recorded a 20-minute peaceful walk along the deserted shore. When I need to decompress, I listen to that recording, hearing the sounds of the waves and my footsteps in the sand which brings me right back to that moment in time.
