Suniewick now leads the company’s digital business strategy, builds and strengthens partnerships with new media and technology companies, and heads efforts to deliver premium content to emerging platforms. Her impressive experience includes leading Symphony, the company-wide marketing initiative that promotes upcoming NBCU programming, movies and events. Despite taking on a demanding new position, Suniewick still makes time to mentor other women within the industry. She is a member of the Women’s Network, an employee resource group at Comcast, and is a member of WICT. The advice Suniewick would give her 13-year-old self is succinct: “Be kind, stay confident, and keep smiling.”

Which current programming best reflects the kind of women’s roles you like to see and why?

“Playing House” on USA. The two actors in it, Jessica (St. Clair) and Lennon (Parham), are real women, real friends and they are funny as hell.
