VP, Video Services
Comcast Cable

Suniewick certainly has a lot on her plate. She manages editorial and programming across all video platforms and consumer touch points including Xfinity On Demand, XfinityTV.com and the Xfinity TV app. But she also oversees the Content Development team and recently played an integral role in Comcast’s landmark deal with The Walt Disney Company that lets Xfinity TV customers watch ESPN, ABC or Disney shows live or on demand and across multiple screens, in and out of the home. It’s her ability to handle those kind of complex deals – while managing the day-to-day demands of keeping the Xfinity machine humming smoothly – that makes Suniewick such an asset to Comcast. We suspect it won’t be long before she’s moving even higher up the ranks at the largest MSO. She’s keeping Xfinity TV customers ahead of the curve – right where they deserve to be.

What personal qualities do you think have helped you get to your current position- —and which ones (that you either now possess or must work on) will advance you to the next level?

I have always been extremely passionate about media and quality programming. I know that today’s world is fast-paced, and people are busy. Having a good sense about our customers’ daily lives drives me to push for the best content on our platforms and the best experience in terms of providing features and options for customers to view content (remote DVR programming, search and discovery, etc). As a working mom with a high intensity job, I really need to work on carving out more time to watch TV. I watch my shows but I need to expand my repertoire!

What digital trend will be the biggest game changer in the next 1-3 years?

I think mobile viewing is still ramping up and will see huge change in the next few years. Rights issues are still getting worked out, and until they do, there will continue to be consumer confusion around which content is available when and where. Once consumers can truly access their content everywhere, I think that mobile viewing will take off.
