Diaz is the driving force behind Univision’s efforts to diversify entertainment content with a mix of original productions and co-productions, strategic acquisitions and the launch of new formats. Under Diaz’s stewardship, UCI earned year-over-year audience growth across its broadcast networks in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ this past May. In her view the most notable difference between her business now compared to a few years ago is the sheer amount of content available, regardless of sector: “Content creators, influencers, production companies and the grumpy cats of the world are literally competing for users’ attention.”
