After successfully ushering in BET Networks’ move to scripted with shows such as “Being Mary Jane,” Jones exited her post as president of original programming this year. But she’s staying on as a creative consultant—important as BET gears up for its first-ever miniseries “The Book of Negroes.” Outside of work, you’re likely to find her vacationing in Miami or partaking in her new favorite sport, golf.
