Programming Stunt | Logo – The Golden Girls 30th Anniversary “30 Isn’t a Drag” with RuPaul’s Drag Race

With “The Golden Girls” having a large cult following among gay men—which is Logo’s key audience—the network opted to celebrate the iconic show’s 30th anniversary through Drag impersonation of the four golden ladies. With hilarious spots featuring talent from Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” VH1 created interstitial and longer content in the form of skits from popular episodes. The “30 Isn’t a Drag” campaign was picked up my major media outlets and brought Logo up 91% from its on-air total day average in Live+SD.
