With the rapid growth of digital and streaming services, Pan’s role in developing new initiatives is increasingly important to the continued evolution of AMC Nets. She spent much of last year growing AMC Networks’ SVOD services, SundanceNow Doc Club and Shudder, and is now leading efforts to launch Shudder in territories outside of the U.S. later in 2016. In addition, Pan oversees efforts to acquire exclusive programming and develop original series for the services. Given her job description, it’s not surprising Pan says the Internet is the tech that will most benefit cable over the next year. It “has changed everything, and we must find and employ avenues to use the Internet to benefit cable,” she says.
