Blind dates sometimes do work out. That’s what Farrell discovered when unseen matches were added to the 8th season of Bravo’s “The Millionaire Matchmaker.” Other additions to the show included celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes along with the introduction of a more dynamic recruiting process, making it one of seven series in 2015 to date to post season over season growth in 18-49. Never one to play it safe, she says “it’s okay to take the unbeaten path.” Good advice, considering she’s also an active mentor.
Best business advice you’ve received?
“Sometimes a straight line is not the fastest route to your goal.” It means that it is okay to look at things sideways, upside down or backwards. It is okay to take the unbeaten path. This piece of advice has served me well, and I still pass it along to this day.
How do you define diversity?
Diversity is the opportunity to tell all stories and in doing so, broaden the consciousness of the greater society.
How do you define success?
Everyone has a different path for personal and professional growth. Success is embracing opportunities and challenges despite one’s fears or insecurities.
