Lee Klein

Media Consultant, Cox Media

A model salesman for Cox Media’s consultative approach, Klein has become a top performer in just 3 years—from revenue goal attainment to client relationships to devising multiplatform solutions. He’s most excited about new technology, as it’s “constantly presenting us with opportunities to reach media consumers in more impactful manners and through more convenient avenues.”

What makes you most excited about this industry as you advance in your career?
The integral role technology plays in our industry is what excites me most. New technology is constantly presenting us with opportunities to reach media consumers in more impactful manners and through more convenient avenues. Sitting on the leading edge of the delivery of these innovations to the market is definitely cool!

What would be your ultimate dream job?

Managing the new product development/research department in my company would be a great gig. Being successful in my entrepreneurial side projects is also near the top of my “dream job” list.
Who has been your biggest mentor and why?

My father (aka Papa Smurf) is without a doubt, my biggest mentor. His teaching me the importance of integrity, and to do my best to trust and empower my colleagues has been critical in my personal and professional development. “You never stop learning”, is probably my favorite of his many sayings.

What three things can’t you live without?

My family, my friends, and my iPad.
