It seems to me that the biggest growth areas for anyone in cable TV right now are content development and finding an effective way to monetize and capitalize on the constantly changing viewing habits of consumers.

 

What’s the most important aspect of mentoring? 

Be unfiltered.  The most important advice you can pass on to a mentee comes from real life experiences not text book education.  Equip your mentees with the tools you wish you had and the insightful tips you’ve learned along the way.  It’s not helpful to anyone to reiterate the broad strokes of how to get ahead in business.  There are plenty of great career books that can help with that.

 

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside the office?

I’m inspired every day at work by my team – they craft, re-craft, adjust and find creative solutions to problems I sometimes didn’t even know we had.  Outside of work, I’m often inspired by my daughters, Zoe (11) and Marley (7).  They are young enough to speak their minds and old enough to think independently and go after whatever it is they want.
