Hulsey has been a particularly effective advocate for programmers’ concerns in the ongoing FCC set-top box proceeding during the last 12 months. She is developing strategy to increase her company’s profile and political/regulatory participation globally, particularly in view of Scripps’ recent acquisition of media conglomerate TVN. Hulsey is well-known and well-regarded in many circles of the industry, making her an effective advocate in industry associations. She was recently elected to the board of her local chapter of Jack and Jill of America, an organization devoted to the leadership, intellectual and social development of African American children.
