The current chair of WICT’s national board, Payne started out as a communications lawyer, then moved over to the business side in Cox’s content acquisition group 12 years ago. “I think the thing that keeps me the most excited about our industry  is the incredible pace of change,” she says. “There is always a new technology or new competitor that is reshaping our industry. It is an exciting challenge to negotiate content deals so that we are embracing the realities of today as well as the changes the future will bring.”
