Director, Programming and Multiplatform, CMT

Warburton knows how to implement a multiplatform strategy. Since joining, her work with VOD, CMT.com, social media and electronic sell-through has helped net record VOD downloads and the expansion of CMT’s VOD offering to include episodes 24 hours after airing. One of her highlights was the development, pitch and implementation of the multi-platform launch of “Still the King,” CMT’s first scripted series. Launched in June, the show’s hit rating highs and was greenlit for a second season. Her work on “Party Down South’s” final season doubled daily platform views and the season kicked off on linear with double-digit growth from the previous season’s launch. One habit that makes her successful is that she has “a tendency to be very curious, so I always try to ask thoughtful questions about our different lines of business,” she says.

What is the one habit that makes you most successful?

I have a tendency to be very curious, so I always try to ask thoughtful questions about our different lines of business. I strive to learn constantly, which has helped me stay on top of industry trends, be more well-rounded, and has ultimately driven my success.

What sort of culture is important to you in the workplace?

A collaborative culture is important to me. Our teams share many goals and it’s always satisfying when we can seamlessly come together to accomplish great things and drive our business forward.

What is the most exciting thing about working in this industry?

I’m excited by our industry’s evolution in how viewers are consuming content. My current role focuses on both linear and multiplatform content scheduling, so I’m tasked with developing strategies that successfully target viewers on any platform. Every day brings a new challenge and I’m motivated by the need to come up with new and innovative solutions in order to stay relevant in a competitive marketplace.
