It’s no secret. With cable’s biggest social media following for its arsenal of original hits, ABC Family is a pretty great place to work these days. Juergens followed the continued success of the net’s breakout hit “Pretty Little Liars” and this spring’s landmark “Uprising” episode of “Switched at Birth” with the summer’s launch of “The Fosters” and the premiere of “PLL” spinoff “Ravenswood” in October, which launched as ABC Family’s top premiere and cable’s top drama premiere in nearly three years. She appreciates the freedom cable has when it comes to storytelling: “I think the ‘Breaking Bad’ saga, from such a quiet start to the phenomenal series end—and the way AMC stuck with it and managed it—is an only-in-cable story.”
