With a hand in the company’s corporate development and early stage investment strategies, Yoo continues to play a major role in Scripps’ global expansion. In the past year, the company has expanded its global footprint, increasing the distribution of Food Network across Latin America, Europe and the Middle East and Africa; Travel Channel throughout Europe the Middle East and Africa; and HGTV throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Yoo also helped finalize Scripps’ acquisition of Polish media company TVN. She was also chosen to participate in the 2015-16 Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, a leadership development program for executive women in cable and telecommunications.
