Just upped from SVP, Veale has big ambitions for Showtime’s multiscreen distribution and has already proven a power player in the space. Veale was an instrumental part of Showtime’s launch across the Internet, and leveraged her strategic and creative vision to grow paid streaming subscribers by more than 50%. She’s passionate about bringing Showtime programming to every device and platform, in order to reach the broadest audience possible. While Veale says her team “lives multiscreen,” if she could escape for a month in virtual reality, she’d spend it traveling to the many places on her long wish list.

How do you keep yourself and your team engaged and informed on the changing multiscreen universe?

Our team lives multiscreen. Everyday we are focused on creating and improving our user experience for both SHOWTIME (our standalone streaming service) and Showtime Anytime (our authentication service), so that no matter which screen our subscribers chose to watch us on- whether on a mobile device, computer or a TV through a streaming device, game console or connected TV – they will have an enjoyable and seamless viewing experience.

What are your 3 go-to apps?

Our strategy is to reach new subscribers by making Showtime available through new digital distributors, so in addition to our own apps, I have been spending a lot of time on Amazon and Hulu.

If you had to spend a month in the virtual reality, what would your environment be?

Travelling to the many places I want to explore – I have a long list to get to!
