Daley is responsible for many of the company’s financing activities, including capital formation, liability management, financial derivative transactions and acquisition financing. She has proven to be a loyal and dependable contributor to the success of Comcast, recently highlighted by her significant participation in the financing activities related to Comcast’s $3.8 billion DreamWorks Animation acquisition in 2016. “Don’t allow anyone to deny you your dreams,” Daley says she’d advise her 13-year-old self. “Believe in yourself and your abilities, work tireless for what you want. Even if you don’t achieve your dream, you will know that you gave it your all.”
What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
Don’t allow anyone to deny your dreams. Believe in yourself and your abilities, work tirelessly for what you want. Always believe that you are capable. In the end, even if you don’t achieve your dream, you will know that you gave it your all, you will be proud and you won’t have any regrets.
Which current programming best reflects the kind of women’s roles you would like to see and why?
Programming that shows “real” women with real struggles and the amazing power they have to overcome them. I am talking about the everyday things that many women struggle with, such as striking a balance in their career and home life, remaining authentic and not forsaking their values.
What is the biggest story cable this year?
Cord-cutting, OTT or just the ever-changing landscape of television distribution and how people access entertainment content and advertising. Competition in the industry is fierce, and this a good thing. This environment is forcing the industry to reevaluate business models and continue enhancing the value proposition for its customers.
