As the marketing mastermind behind “The Royals,” Neal has played an integral role in driving E! and sister net Esquire’s overall success and momentum in 2015. She also mentors young women about career development. “I’ve been fortunate to have had multiple people help me, so I feel a responsibility to give back,” Neal says.

 

What’s the most important aspect of mentoring?

I’ve been fortunate to have had multiple people help me in my career so I feel a responsibility to give back by doing the same for others. I always encourage those I mentor to have great curiosity and an eagerness to learn. Plus I learn from them as well.

 

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside the office?

My team and my peers inspire me every day with their abundance of creativity, passion and dedication. Outside of work I look for inspiration in all things pop culture.

 

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

Having a husband who shares my passion for our careers while fiercely protecting our downtime.

 

Your favorite trick for unwinding?

Running on the beach.
