Li performs double duties, overseeing both Syfy and its sister network Chiller. While Syfy’s “Defiance” broke new ground with its online game and digital tie-ins, Chiller has also capitalized on new media, particularly with the recent launch of Chiller Films. “By using innovative marketing techniques and making our content more accessible… we increased the anticipation of our films, enhanced the value of the movies in traditional downstream windows and grew the Chiller brand,” Li says.
