Liburd is not just responsible for managing all communications and public affairs for BET, but also oversees events – including the network’s upfront, ancillary events for awards shows and events surrounding BET’s newest launch, CENTRIC. Despite her busy to-do list, we as reporters can tell you she always finds time to help us out. This year, she was honored in The Network Journal’s 40-Under-Forty Black Achievement Awards. At this year’s NAACP National Convention, Liburd spoke to a group of young people about ways the community can advocate for balance and diversity of content in the entertainment industry to create positive role models for youth.
