Janet Han Vissering
It takes a bold, calculated risk-taker to guide Nat Geo Wild as the network continually evolves its story-telling of the wild side of the animal kingdom. Vissering is that executive. Responsible for more than 150 hours of programming commissioned each year globally, she continues to up the bar via unique original voices and thoughtful collaborations. She continues to oversee new innovative series, recently including “The Adventures of Buckeye Bottoms,” about a Hawaii vet who runs a mobile clinic; “Snake City” and “Mission Critical,” and she guided the launch of Wild’s second digital series, “Untamed with Felipe Andrade” via the network’s YouTube Channel. “The pace at which people are viewing television is a massive pressure on how we conduct business and how we develop programming,” she says. “This will be a focal point for our business.”
