While TV Land is gaining a reputation for its original sitcoms, it’s still a home for good TV of the past. Under Cohen’s direction, the network added popular series such as “Walker, Texas Ranger” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” But she also has an eye to the future—spearheading the TV Land app’s launch while overseeing multiplatform program strategy. She identifies the “incredible quality” of original programming as the biggest story in cable right now.

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?

I think the biggest story in cable continues to be the incredible quality of original programming.  The storytelling, the characters and the production quality of what’s coming from cable and non-traditional outlets rival (and in many cases surpass) network content.  It’s a great time to be a viewer!

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

Let’s be honest… there are times when there just isn’t a balance. That’s a reality of being a Working Mom. Depending on what is happening either at home or at the office, the balance can definitely shift in either direction.  For me it’s about being present in the moment and giving my full attention to the priority at hand.

When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?

Running around the city with my kids & husband, or on a bike at Flywheel!
