Holly Tang
When it comes to diversity, longtime Bravo & Oxygen exec Tang gives the cable industry a sober report card. “I think some parts of the industry are doing a better job than others, averaging out to a C,” she says. “We still need diversity at the top and in the C-Suites across the board.” Tang is responsible for Bravo and Oxygen’s financial oversight, including the development of both networks’ strategic and long-term plans. She continues to fine-tune both networks’ strategic initiatives, exploring new ways to expand both businesses by identifying growth drivers and new revenue streams.
Which television show/s – cable or broadcast – best embrace diversity?
From an unscripted perspective, I believe Bravo and Oxygen do a great job getting diversity in front of the camera. But from a scripted perspective, I’ve always been impressed with the diverse casting on “The Walking Dead.”
Favorite charity organization you work with?
While I am not linked to any specific charity, my first choice would be something around education. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power.
