HGTV and Pinterest go together like peanut butter and jelly. The network capitalized on fans pinning by launch “Pinterest Parties,” special events that offered viewers the chance to interact directly with HGTV talent, editors and one another in real time through HGTV’s branded Pinterest Boards. The budget-friendly initiative generated plenty of impressions. For example, HGTV’s Dream Home-themed Pinterest Party generated more than 8,000 repins, 2,000+ likes and 370,000 page-view referrals to HGTV’s sites.
