Rigdon oversees the strategic direction of Comcast Cable’s content portfolio—and that amounts to the negotiation of hundreds of programming agreements for the company. He and his team are responsible for negotiating long-term TV Everywhere distribution agreements with multiple content providers, successfully securing the rights for customers to watch content online, on mobile and on TV. With the continued integration of products and services, expect more content deals to surface moving forward.

Sinclair Still Confident on RSN Streaming Launch

Sinclair is still on track to release the direct-to-consumer product that would carry content from its regional sports networks in the first half of 2022, and president/CEO Chris Ripley reiterated on the company’s 2Q21 earnings call Wednesday that the broadcaster has the full support of its distribution partners.
