Since joining Time Warner in 2002, Egan has been a driving force in developing and implementing new products for TWC – which she notes is all the more essential as the industry competes with developing entertainment tech. “I worry that people believe cable is our parents’ and grandparents’ solution. Cable is not viewed as innovative and sexy,” Egan says. “We need to move quickly to launch new products and create a new reputation. Technology, new products and better communication will be paramount for cable’s success in the next five years.”
